WESTERN CAPE
West Coast
The West Coast Region is located along the south-west coast of South Africa.
The area is known for the following:
- Water sports: Go sailing, swimming, fishing, sea-kayaking, windsurfing or kite-surfing in the mighty Atlantic Ocean or tranquil Langebaan Lagoon.
- The West Coast National Park: Visit this conservation area alongside the blue waters of the Langebaan Lagoon with its thousands of seabirds. During spring, the veld is covered with a tapestry of flowers.
- The flower season: Visit this area after the first rains in spring (between mid-August and mid-September) when millions of flowers cover the earth.
- Seafood: Enjoy the freshest seafood ever!
- Coastal towns and quaint villages: Visit places like Blouberg, Darling, Saldanha Bay, Yzerfontein, Paternoster, St Helena Bay, Elands Bay and Lamberts Bay.
- The Fossil Park: This National Heritage Site is one of the richest fossil sites in the world.

Wildlife safariWe will take you on a wildlife safari where you can see leopards,
lions, rhinos, giraffes and antelope. Or you can go on a tour of the Khoi San Rock Art dating back over 10 000 years.

Bushman farm safariFor a wilderness experience with a difference, we will take you to Private Game Reserves where you will be able to see Bushman paintings of up to
6 000 years old. Expert guides will give in-depth interpretations of the ancient Bushman sites.

Table MountainTable Mountain — a World Heritage Site — is one of
South Africa's most famous landmarks. Nowhere else in the world does an area of such spectacular beauty and such
rich bio-diversity exist almost entirely within a metropolitan area.

Robben IslandThe world-renowned Robben Island Museum is one of South Africa's
top historical attractions. The island is most famous for being the place where Nelson Mandela, the first
democratically elected president of South Africa, was imprisoned for 18 years.

NORTHERN CAPE
Richtersveld (4x4)The Richtersveld National Park is a 162 445 m2
hectare mountain desert at the northern-most extremity of South Africa. This water-scarce desert with its
rugged kloofs, high mountains and dramatic landscapes sustains a remarkable range of small reptiles, birds, mammals and desert
flora. The reserve is only accessible by 4x4 and high-clearance vehicles.

Cederberg Mountains The Cederberg Wilderness Area is known for its untouched beauty,
breathtaking rock formations and rare Clanwilliam cedar tree. San and Khoi peoples inhabited the Cederberg
area from early times, and rock paintings that may be anything from 300 to 6 000 years old can still be seen here.
The leopard is the Cederberg's largest predator, and is fairly common although very shy. The Cederberg Wilderness
Area offers unsurpassed opportunities for hiking, rock climbing and swimming in pristine rivers and rock pools.

River rafting on the Gariep Experience the tranquillity as well as the power of
the mighty Orange River — now called by its ancient Nama name Gariep — from an inflatable canoe. During the day,
you will encounter rapids, still water, bird life and beautiful scenery. At night, you will camp along the
river bed and gaze at the brightest Southern Hemisphere night sky you will ever witness.

Sutherland ObservatoryVisit Sutherland — the place with the lowest temperatures
and clearest night sky in South Africa. This is where you will find the largest telescope in the
Southern Hemisphere, a telescope so powerful that you will be able to see something as faint as a candle
flame at the distance of the moon. That is why Sutherland is also called the gateway to the universe.

Garden RouteThe Garden Route along South Africa's Southern Cape coast

lagoons, mountains and rivers will provide you with endless opportunities for outdoor adventures and leisure activities.

Bungy jumping If you love adrenalin sports, try bungy jumping from the Bloukrans River
Bridge or the Gourits River Bridge. The Bloukrans jump is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as
being the world's highest commercial bungy jump at 216 m high. The Gourits River Bridge is 65 meters high, and is
the longest running bungy site in Africa.
